Theme: Transforming our Communities one life at a time

The 26th National Prayer Breakfast for Scotland was held at the Inchyra Grange Hotel, Grange Road, Polmont (map) on Wednesday, 12th June 2013 at 7.00 am.

Speaker – Mr Andy Hawthorne OBE, Author and leader of the Message Trust

Andy Hawthorne OBE is a British evangelist, author and leader of The Message Trust, a Christian mission organisation based in Manchester, England.

His passion for sharing the gospel began as an employer of young men from disadvantaged parts of Manchester. Seeing how little they knew of Jesus, Andy committed himself to reaching them through concerts and outreach in schools. Over the last 20 years, the work has grown to include young people in urban communities (Eden), prisons (Reflex), and a training academy (Genetik). Today, The Message reaches over 100,000 young people in Manchester and beyond each year.

Andy’s tireless commitment to young people and community transformation was honoured by the Queen in 2011 when he was awarded an OBE.

An established author, he is also an in-demand speaker at events in the UK and around the world.

Andy is married to Michele, and they have two children, Sam and Beth.
